Today we’re launching vendor bookings. This one’s been on our list for a while and we’re excited to finally get it out the door.
Here’s the backstory. We talked to a lot of vendors who sell at markets and events, and a pattern kept coming up: most of them also do private bookings and offer services outside of markets. Photographers, bakers, crafters, service providers. They’re already on Events Near Me, but there was no way for customers to book them directly. That changes today.
How to Get Access
To start accepting bookings, you need two things:
- An existing vendor account on Events Near Me
- A connected Stripe account
Once those are set up, your profile will be discoverable and bookable by anyone on the site.
How It Works
When a customer finds your profile, they’ll see a Bookings button. They fill out a form describing what they need and submit it. You’ll get an email notification, and the request will show up in the Bookings section of your vendor dashboard.
From there, you review the details and send them a quote. Once they accept, they pay upfront through Stripe. You’re booked and paid before the date arrives.
Why Events Near Me
The main reason to use us for bookings is discoverability. Customers are already searching the site to find vendors. Now they can book them too without going anywhere else.
We also handle all payment processing through Stripe, which means refunds, disputes, and payment protection are all built in. Both vendors and customers are covered, and you avoid the headaches that come with collecting money outside of a platform.
